Persona 6, Kingdom Hearts 4 Spoilers Emerge Following Major Game Achievement Leak

A significant data breach appears to have exposed the complete achievement lists for anticipated and yet-to-be-announced PC games, including titles such as Persona 6 and Kingdom Hearts 4, online.

These lists were reportedly gathered and published on various platforms, including SteamDB and the achievement tracking site Exophase, overnight. The owner of Exophase, identified as X3sphere, suggested to ResetEra that the leak might stem from a "possible screw up on Valve's end," as the Steam API seemingly gained unauthorized access to achievement lists that should remain private.

"I typically don't encounter games without official titles appearing with achievements," X3sphere further explained. "Yet, over the past hour or so, a multitude have surfaced (when a game has an unknown name, we assign it the AppID)."

While the full extent of this apparent, and as yet unconfirmed, leak remains unclear, the sheer volume of games seemingly affected or revealed is extensive. This also implies that spoilers are now widespread.

A Reddit user, KingdomHeartsII, compiled a list of games identified so far, encompassing more than a dozen titles that have not been officially announced. Among the notable entries are a potential Sea of Thieves sequel/spin-off, a Twin Peaks game, a Candy Crush game, a new Sonic game, and a Shrek game.

Additionally, a Balatro game was listed. However, the creator of Balatro, Localthunk, clarified to PC Gamer that this game is "not affiliated with me or Balatro at all. Many people like to emulate Balatro's design language, and that's all this is." Furthermore, while "Toem 2" is listed as unannounced, this particular game has indeed been revealed. Therefore, the accuracy of this list should be approached with significant caution, as should the reliability of the games aggregated by sites like X3Sphere.

It is important to note that some of these discovered achievement lists may contain potential spoilers. Consequently, if you are a dedicated fan of franchises like Kingdom Hearts or Megaman, it would be prudent to avoid examining the leaked information if you wish to experience these games without prior revelations, assuming the leaks prove to be legitimate.
