Borussia Dortmund are reportedly nearing the completion of a significant €52 million double transfer, with PAOK Saloniki attacker Giannis Konstantelias and PSV Eindhoven midfielder Joey Veerman expected to join the club. Konstantelias has reportedly already arrived in Dortmund as negotiations for his move from PAOK enter their final stages.

Reports suggest that Dortmund will pay a guaranteed fee of between €25 million and €27 million for Konstantelias, with potential bonuses that could push the total package beyond €30 million. The club's transfer activity is not expected to end there, as they are also reportedly set to sign PSV midfielder Joey Veerman by activating his €22 million release clause.

The 27-year-old Netherlands international is expected to sign a five-year contract and undergo his medical on Monday. This signing addresses a key priority for Dortmund following their decision to withdraw from negotiations for El Mala. The club's sporting director has emphasized the need to strengthen the central midfield with a player capable of contributing offensively, rather than solely acting as a defensive midfielder.

These two deals would effectively reallocate the funds that were initially earmarked for El Mala. Konstantelias is expected to bring dribbling ability and creativity between the lines, while Veerman would enhance passing quality and provide greater control from deeper midfield positions. If both transfers are finalized, Dortmund will have invested approximately €52 million in two distinct players to address their remaining squad needs.

Borussia Dortmund officials have previously hinted at significant transfer activity. Sporting director Nils-Ole Book stated that the club is working proactively to sign players who can strengthen the team and bring the required qualities. He confirmed that funds set aside for El Mala could now be used to sign more than one player. Head coach Niko Kovac also expressed optimism about acquiring more good players, encouraging fans to anticipate surprises.
