Ozan Kabak Extends Contract with Hoffenheim
Hoffenheim has reached an agreement with Turkish centre-back Ozan Kabak to extend his contract. The player, who previously played for Liverpool and Norwich City, had been in discussions with the Bundesliga club for some time. Kabak has recently returned to action after a lengthy period on the sidelines, missing the entire 2024/25 Bundesliga season.
Kabak's Resurgence and Impact
Following several substitute appearances in league and cup matches earlier this autumn, Kabak made his first Bundesliga start on December 13th, 2025. The now 26-year-old scored in Hoffenheim's 4-1 victory over Hamburg. Having re-established himself in Christian Ilzer's starting lineup, Kabak has continued to make an impact, netting three more Bundesliga goals in the current 2026 calendar year.
Kabak's estimated market value has doubled, rising from €5 million to €10 million according to the March Transfermarkt update. The 28-time capped international also rejoined the Turkish national team last month. With Turkey's successful qualification through the World Cup playoffs, Kabak is set to participate in this summer's World Championship alongside his Hoffenheim teammates Fisnik Asllani and Albian Hajdari.

Reports indicate that the Kraichgau-based Bundesliga club has secured Kabak's commitment with a contract extension until 2030. The defender retains an exit clause valued at €25 million, offering him options for future career moves. At his peak while representing Schalke in October 2020, Kabak was valued at €32 million. His highest valuation at Hoffenheim, who acquired him for €7 million in the summer of 2022, was €13 million in December 2023.
