Barcelona Secures Long-Term Agreement with Karim Adeyemi
According to reports from Sky Germany, Barcelona has successfully negotiated a long-term contract with Karim Adeyemi, the 24-year-old winger currently playing for Borussia Dortmund.
While personal terms are understood to be settled, the two clubs are still engaged in discussions regarding the transfer fee. Barcelona's valuation of Adeyemi, who was acquired by Dortmund from RB Salzburg in 2022 for €33 million, is currently considerably lower than Dortmund's asking price. Reports suggest that the Catalan club has offered approximately €20 million for the player, whose contract with BVB has one year remaining. However, his current club is seeking to at least recover the initial investment made in the German forward, who contributed 10 goals and 6 assists in 39 appearances across all competitions last season.
Should Adeyemi depart Dortmund this summer, it is anticipated that the club would increase their efforts to sign Cologne's Said El Mala, a 19-year-old player. However, as it stands, Dortmund is hesitant to meet El Mala's reported €50 million valuation.
