1. FC Köln’s president, Jörn Stobbe, has announced that the Bundesliga club is prepared to present Saïd El Mala with a better contract offer, following significant interest from the Premier League.
Stobbe stated in an interview with L’Immo, as reported by Geissblog, “Naturally, we will present him with an offer utilizing our network – encompassing not only financial aspects but also advancements in other domains. We are able to provide him with an environment conducive to his excellent development. He is an exceptionally young, highly talented player who has already demonstrated his capabilities.”
In his inaugural season in Germany’s top flight during 2025/26, El Mala has scored 11 goals and contributed four assists in 29 appearances for the Billy Goats. This performance has sparked the interest of several Premier League clubs, including Brighton and Hove Albion, Chelsea, and Newcastle United.
According to Geissblog, Köln acknowledges that retaining El Mala indefinitely may not be feasible. However, the club, also known as Effzeh, is not under pressure to sell the young player this summer. Nevertheless, a final decision is yet to be made, and a potential transfer remains a possibility if the right price is offered.
Previously reported, Saïd El Mala’s current market value is estimated at €50 million.
