Evann Guessand, the 23-year-old forward from OGC Nice, is anticipated to depart the French club this summer. Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly preparing a bid for the player.
OGC Nice, similar to many Ligue 1 clubs, needs to sell players to fund incoming transfers this transfer window. Guessand, who came through the club`s academy, is considered one of their most valuable assets. Manager Franck Haise has expressed pessimism regarding the forward`s chances of remaining at the club for the next season.
Speaking in a press conference, Haise commented, “We know that Evann will be one of the players who is highly sought after. What matters is what he has done this season.”
He reiterated the necessity for French clubs to sell players to finance acquisitions this summer. Reports suggest Wolves are actively pursuing the Ivory Coast international, with a potential transfer fee exceeding £25 million.
