A report from L`Équipe indicates that West Ham United is currently at the forefront in the pursuit of AS Saint-Étienne`s 20-year-old striker, Lucas Stassin.
Stassin was a standout player for Saint-Étienne during a season that saw them immediately relegated back to Ligue 2 following promotion via the playoffs. Despite his importance, Les Verts are reportedly hesitant to sell him or teammate Zuriko Davitashivili, and are expected to demand a significant fee for their players.
Nevertheless, the situation hasn`t deterred numerous potential suitors for Stassin. L`Équipe reports that French clubs Lille, Paris FC, Rennes, and Marseille have gathered information on the forward, along with foreign teams like RB Leipzig, Wolverhampton Wanderers, and Sporting CP.
West Ham is reported to have made the first move, engaging in discussions with Saint-Étienne regarding the transfer fee and with the young Belgian player concerning his salary expectations.
