According to reports from Italy, Victor Osimhen has communicated his desire to stay with the Turkish club, Galatasaray.
The forward, who spent the last season on loan at the Super Lig side from Napoli, has reportedly turned down a lucrative bid from Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal and is set on remaining in Turkey.
How Sponsors Could Pave the Way for the Deal
The primary hurdle remains the agreement on a transfer fee between Galatasaray and Napoli. Osimhen’s contract contains a release clause, applicable to non-Italian clubs, valued at €75 million. Napoli is reportedly only willing to sell the player to the Turkish club if this specific clause is activated.
However, reports suggest that companies in Turkey are potentially ready to step in and provide sponsorships aimed at helping Galatasaray cover the cost of this substantial release clause.
This potential financial support could mean that Galatasaray might soon be in a position to submit a formal offer to Napoli, indicating that other interested parties would need to move quickly to secure the player.
