Update on AS Monaco’s Goalkeeper Search

Football News

AS Monaco continues its search for a new goalkeeper since the beginning of the transfer window, and the club has not yet finalized a signing. The club`s CEO, Thiago Scuro, offered an update on the situation during a recent press conference.

Several names have been linked with the vacant number one spot at Monaco. Potential targets reportedly include Lucas Perri of Olympique Lyonnais, Marc-André ter Stegen from Barcelona, Chelsea`s Djordje Petrović, André Onana of Manchester United, Vanja Milinković-Savić from Torino, David De Gea (currently a free agent), and Ugurcan Çakir of Trabzonspor.

Regarding the progress, Scuro stated that finding the right player is proving difficult due to high demands and the need for the club to generate funds – a significant challenge faced by many Ligue 1 clubs. While he could not specify a timeline for an arrival, he confirmed that work is actively ongoing, expressing hope that a new player can be signed once an agreement is reached.
