Toulouse FC is reportedly compiling a list of potential candidates to replace Damien Comolli, who recently departed to join Serie A giants Juventus. Comolli announced his departure from Le TéFéCé earlier in the week, with his move to a role at the Italian club confirmed soon after.
Comolli took on the presidency at Toulouse FC in 2020, following the club`s acquisition by RedBird Capital Partners. During his tenure, Toulouse achieved promotion back to Ligue 1 in 2022 and subsequently won the Coupe de France the next year, securing a spot in the Europa League.
According to reports from Foot Mercato, three individuals are being considered as potential successors to Comolli. These candidates include former Stade Rennais executive Olivier Cloarec, former OGC Nice CEO Julien Fournier, and Vincent Ponsot, formerly the director of football at Olympique Lyonnais. This potential shortlist features experienced figures with significant knowledge of Ligue 1.
