Toulouse FC is compiling a list of potential candidates to succeed Damien Comolli, who recently departed for Juventus in Serie A. Comolli`s exit from Le TéFéCé was announced mid-week, quickly followed by confirmation of his new position at the Italian club.
Comolli took over as president of Toulouse FC in 2020, following the acquisition by RedBird Capital Partners. Under his leadership, the club achieved promotion back to Ligue 1 in 2022 and secured a Coupe de France victory the year after, earning them a spot in the Europa League.
According to Foot Mercato, three individuals are reportedly on the shortlist to replace Comolli. These candidates include Olivier Cloarec, previously with Stade Rennais, Julien Fournier, former CEO of OGC Nice, and Vincent Ponsot, formerly the director of football at Olympique Lyonnais. This selection comprises experienced figures well-acquainted with French football.
