Torino has officially completed the acquisition of attacking midfielder Tino Anjorin from Empoli. A significant portion of the transfer fee will go to Chelsea due to a previous agreement.
As reported on June 27, agreements were reached to bring both Anjorin and his teammate Ardian Ismajli to Torino. However, the circumstances of their transfers are different.
Anjorin`s transfer fee is estimated at €5 million, while defender Ismajli joins as a free agent after his contract with Empoli expired.
Although the deal is formally structured as a loan with a purchase option contingent on specific conditions, these clauses are widely considered to be easily met, making the transfer effectively permanent.
His contract with Torino runs until June 2028, with an option for an additional year.
Anjorin Continues Serie A Journey with Torino
The 23-year-old came through Chelsea`s youth system and had loan spells at clubs like Huddersfield and Portsmouth before moving to Empoli on a free transfer in August 2024.
As part of his move to Empoli, an agreement stipulated that Chelsea would be entitled to receive up to 50 percent of any future sell-on fee.
Reports suggest that Chelsea will receive 40 percent of the €5 million transfer fee paid by Torino, resulting in a €3 million profit for the London club.
Last season, Anjorin made 22 appearances for Empoli in Serie A, contributing two goals and three assists. Despite his efforts, he could not prevent the team from being relegated to Serie B.
