Sunderland Set to Miss Out on Nice Goalkeeper Marcin Bulka as Saudi Club Steps In

Football News

Sunderland appear set to miss out on signing OGC Nice goalkeeper Marcin Bulka, who is reportedly heading to Saudi Arabian club Neom SC instead. The 25-year-old Polish international had been a prime target for the Black Cats, who are newly promoted to the Premier League and were linked with a €20 million deal for him.

However, despite Sunderland retaining their interest, it`s understood Bulka has agreed terms with Neom SC. Bulka is expected to leave Nice this summer after contract extension talks broke down last autumn. Nice is keen to sell him now rather than lose him on a free transfer next year, especially as manager Franck Haise has indicated the club needs to sell players.

Neom SC, recently promoted to the Saudi Pro League, is showing significant interest in players from the French market, having already signed Saïd Benrahma and pursuing others like Alexandre Lacazette, Corentin Tolisso, and Lucas Perri.
