Sunderland is reportedly engaged in discussions regarding a potential transfer for OGC Nice`s 24-year-old left-back, Melvin Bard.
The club has demonstrated a clear interest in players from the French market during the current transfer window. This approach is highlighted by the recent arrival of Habib Diarra from Strasbourg, alongside reported links to other players such as Marcin Bulka (who seemed set to move before Neom SC`s intervention), Matthis Abline from Nantes, and Georges Mikautadze of Lyon, particularly in their search for a new forward.
As part of this strategy, the newly promoted Premier League side is understood to be negotiating with Nice concerning Bard.
