Strasbourg interested in Leeds striker Mateo Joseph

Football News

According to a report from L`Équipe, RC Strasbourg are planning to strengthen their attacking options this summer and are considering several candidates. Among them is the 21-year-old Leeds United forward Mateo Joseph.

The Spanish player was part of the Leeds squad that achieved promotion back to the Premier League this past season. Early in the season, head coach Daniel Farke gave him several starts, but he later became primarily a substitute option. Joseph is also set to join the Spain U-21 squad for the upcoming UEFA European Championship.

Mateo Joseph is not the only potential signing for Strasbourg. The club is also linked with 22-year-old Joaquin Panichelli from Deportivo Alavés. This search for attacking reinforcement follows a season where, apart from Emanuel Emegha, Strasbourg`s other central strikers did not consistently impress.
