According to a report by L’Équipe, RC Strasbourg Alsace is looking to strengthen its attacking options this summer and has identified a number of potential transfer targets. High on this list is 21-year-old Leeds United striker Mateo Joseph.
The Spanish player was part of the Leeds squad that successfully secured promotion back to the Premier League during the recently concluded season. He began the season receiving several starts under head coach Daniel Farke, but his role shifted, and he was primarily used as a substitute after the match against Norwich in October. Joseph is also expected to be included in Spain`s squad for the upcoming UEFA European Under-21 Championship.
Strasbourg Considering Multiple Attacking Reinforcements
However, the Leeds United player is not the only forward Strasbourg is considering. They have also been linked with Joaquin Panichelli, a 22-year-old currently playing for Deportivo Alavés in La Liga. This interest in new strikers follows a season where Strasbourg`s options at the number nine position, aside from Emanuel Emegha, did not consistently deliver impressive performances.
