According to reports from L’Équipe, Russian club Spartak Moscow and French side Olympique de Marseille have come to an agreement regarding the transfer of midfielder Azzedine Ounahi, aged 25.

The Morocco international spent the previous season on loan at Panathinaikos in Greece. During his time there, he managed to revitalise his career, participating in 37 matches, scoring five goals, and providing seven assists. This followed a challenging eighteen-month spell at OM. Panathinaikos expressed interest in keeping the player, and he also remains a target for long-term admirers Brighton and Hove Albion.

However, it is Spartak Moscow who have advanced negotiations and successfully reached a transfer agreement with Marseille. The proposed deal is valued at €12 million. Ounahi is currently considering the potential move, which would reportedly include an increased salary offer.

Despite the agreement between the clubs, Foot Mercato indicates that the former SCO Angers midfielder is reportedly not entirely convinced about the prospect of moving to the Russian club.

Should the transfer ultimately be finalised, SCO Angers would receive 30% of the transfer fee as part of a sell-on clause.
