Saros Designed for Greater Accessibility Than Returnal, Thanks to Player Input

Esports

Housemarque’s upcoming sci-fi roguelike shooter, Saros, is poised to be more approachable than its predecessor, Returnal. This strategic shift in difficulty and accessibility is a direct response to extensive player feedback received from their previous title.

The developer has confirmed the integration of auto-save functionality right from the outset, along with the provision of multiple save slots. These features directly address common concerns raised by Returnal players regarding its often unforgiving difficulty and save system.

Despite these enhancements designed to improve the player experience and accessibility, the creative director maintains that Saros will unequivocally remain a “very challenging game,” ensuring its core roguelike identity and demanding gameplay are preserved for fans seeking a rigorous experience.
