Rennes Join OGC Nice and Leeds United in Showing Interest in Franck Honorat

Football News

According to a report from Foot Mercato, interest is mounting in Borussia Mönchengladbach`s 28-year-old attacking midfielder, Franck Honorat.

Honorat, a product of the OGC Nice youth academy, has performed well since his transfer to the Bundesliga from Stade Brestois. In 51 appearances for Borussia Mönchengladbach, the French player has contributed 20 assists and scored seven goals.

He is attracting significant attention this summer. Foot Mercato reported in May that Leeds United and his former club, Nice, were interested in the attacking midfielder. Freiburg was also mentioned as a potential suitor.

Foot Mercato now understands that two more clubs have entered the race. Stade Rennais are also reportedly keen on Honorat as they seek to strengthen their attack during the transfer period. They are particularly looking for a player with extensive Ligue 1 experience, which Honorat possesses.

Spanish La Liga club Valencia also holds an interest in the Frenchman, who appears increasingly likely to leave his current club this summer.
