PSG’s Gianluigi Donnarumma Reveals Priority Amid Premier League Interest

Football News

Goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, aged 26, has indicated his desire to stay at Paris Saint-Germain, despite facing interest from Premier League clubs.

Manchester United and Manchester City are reportedly monitoring his situation, as his current contract with PSG is set to expire at the end of next season. This leaves the club and the player with a decision: either agree on a contract extension soon or consider a summer transfer to avoid losing him for free next year.

Although the decision on a potential renewal is said to rest with the player, the lack of an agreement so far has led to some speculation about his future.

Nevertheless, Donnarumma stated on Monday that his primary goal is to continue playing for PSG after the current season. He was quoted saying, “My priority is to stay at PSG. I think that there won`t be problems in the negotiations.”

However, he also added a note of uncertainty, remarking, “I still don`t know what will happen. I haven`t decided anything.” The goalkeeper, a recent winner of the Champions League with the Parisian club, suggested that the next few weeks would be critical in resolving his situation.
