PSG in Talks to Sign Franco Mastantuono from River Plate

Football News

Despite their immediate focus on the UEFA Champions League final against Inter Milan this Saturday, Paris Saint-Germain is simultaneously pursuing a deal for 17-year-old Franco Mastantuono from River Plate, confirms Fabrizio Romano.

PSG`s attention is now also turning to their summer transfer window plans following the confirmation of Sporting Director Luís Campos`s future. Campos recently signed a long-term contract extension at the Parc des Princes after his previous deal was set to expire earlier this month.

Campos is reportedly a strong admirer of the player. This has led PSG to join several other European clubs from England and Spain who have also expressed interest in the young midfielder. Les Parisiens are aiming to get ahead of the competition. Consequently, negotiations with River Plate regarding Mastantuono`s transfer are already in progress. While the agreement is not yet finalized, the Ligue 1 champions are actively working to secure the deal.
