Pedro Chirivella to Join Panathinaikos

Football News

Following the confirmed departure of Moses Simon from FC Nantes, who has joined Paris FC, another key figure from the Nantes squad is now expected to leave – 28-year-old Pedro Chirivella.

This summer is anticipated to bring significant changes at the Beaujoire. A managerial change has already occurred, with Luís Castro replacing Antoine Kombouaré, and Simon has also moved on after spending six years at the club.

Reports indicate that the Spanish midfielder, formerly of Liverpool, will be the next player to exit. Chirivella arrived five years ago on a free transfer and has since been named club captain. He has been an important presence in the midfield for Les Canaris and played a role in the club`s Coupe de France victory in 2022.

Last season, he featured in 30 Ligue 1 matches. He is now set for a departure at a relatively low cost. A transfer agreement has reportedly been reached with Panathinaikos, who are expected to pay just €2 million for his services.
