FC Nantes has confirmed the departure of Moses Simon, who has joined Paris FC. Now, another key figure for Nantes, Pedro Chirivella (28), is also expected to leave.
This summer is shaping up to bring significant changes at the Beaujoire. Manager Antoine Kombouaré has already been replaced by Luís Castro, and Simon`s six-year spell at the club has ended.
According to L’Équipe, former Liverpool midfielder Chirivella is slated to be the next player leaving. The Spanish midfielder joined Nantes on a free transfer five years ago and later became the club captain. He played a crucial role in the Les Canaris` midfield and was part of the team that won the Coupe de France in 2022.
He featured in 30 Ligue 1 matches last season. However, he is now expected to move for what is considered a relatively modest fee. L’Équipe reports that an agreement has been struck with Panathinaikos, who will pay only €2 million for the player.
