AS Monaco has officially announced the signing of Paul Pogba, 32, on a two-year contract, marking his return to professional football.
The French midfielder joined the Principality club as a free agent after his contract with Juventus was mutually terminated. This termination occurred during his period of suspension due to a doping violation, which concluded in March. However, French football regulations prevented clubs from registering him for the remainder of the previous season upon the lifting of his ban, delaying his immediate return to play.
Looking to bolster their squad with experienced players for an upcoming UEFA Champions League season, Monaco secured the signature of the former Manchester United and Juventus star on a two-year agreement. Pogba`s arrival comes shortly after Ansu Fati`s initial loan move, which is expected to be finalised on July 1st. These two join Eric Dier, another free transfer acquisition, as Monaco`s second and third signings of the current transfer window.
