UEFA has officially announced that PSG forward Ousmane Dembélé, aged 28, has been awarded the 2024-2025 Champions League Player of the Season title. This marks the first time the French international has won the prestigious trophy, which PSG secured with a dominant 5-0 victory over Inter Milan in the final held in Munich on Saturday. Dembélé played a pivotal role in the final match, contributing significantly with two assists, one leading to a goal for Désiré Doué and the other setting up Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.
Winning the Champions League Player of the Season award is seen as a potential stepping stone for Dembélé towards football`s top individual honour, the Ballon d`Or.
