Genoa CFC has officially announced the extension of coach Patrick Vieira`s contract. As stated in the official note published on the club`s website, Vieira will remain at the helm until June 30, 2027.
Genoa CEO Andres Blazquez commented on the positive development:
“We are happy and proud to continue this journey with Patrick. Together, we aim to keep improving with stability and continuity. What the coach has instilled in the team over these past months fully reflects the DNA of Genoa.”
Coach Patrick Vieira also shared his thoughts on the extension:
“It has been a very intense time since I arrived in Genoa last November. We successfully secured Genoa`s place in Serie A and ended the season with pride and determination, just as this club deserves. I am very proud of everything we have built and accomplished together.”
“Since the final match in Bologna, we`ve been constantly in touch with the club and the directors to review the past season and get ready for the next one. I feel good at Genoa and in the city of Genoa. Extending our relationship felt like the most natural step; reaching an agreement and sorting out the paperwork didn`t take long.”
“Now, it`s time for a bit of holiday, but we`ll continue working behind the scenes to prepare for the start of the upcoming season.”
Sporting Director Marco Ottolini added his perspective:
“We are pleased with this renewal with Patrick. It`s a natural outcome of our shared experiences and the progress made over recent months. We share the same vision and goals, and we are committed to continuing Genoa`s growth trajectory.”
