Angers SCO and 31-year-old midfielder Jean-Eudes Aholou have mutually agreed to terminate his contract.
Aholou joined Angers in July 2024. Although his contract was set to run for another year, both the club and the player have agreed to end the agreement after just one season. Angers issued an official post expressing gratitude for Aholou`s “professionalism.”
Aholou started his career at Lille OSC, but didn`t make a first-team appearance before his move to Orléans. After two seasons there, he signed for RC Strasbourg Alsace, the first of his two stints with the club. He joined Angers from Strasbourg, having not featured for them at all during the 2023-24 season.
The midfielder has also represented the Ivory Coast internationally, at both youth and senior levels. He made his senior debut in March 2018 and has since earned a total of seven caps. He was recently called up for the national team`s latest World Cup qualification fixtures.
