Neom SC Targets Lyon Midfielder Corentin Tolisso

Football News

A potential connection appears to be forming between French club Olympique Lyonnais and Neom SC, a team recently promoted to the Saudi Pro League.

Neom SC previously secured winger Saïd Benrahma, initially on loan in January and then permanently this summer. Forward Alexandre Lacazette, whose contract with Lyon is set to expire by the end of this month, is widely expected to join Neom on a free transfer. Reports suggest goalkeeper Lucas Perri could also make the move, although other clubs are also interested in signing him.

According to sources like L’Équipe, another name has emerged as a target: Corentin Tolisso, 30. Tolisso, an academy graduate, was reportedly set to become Lyon`s captain following Lacazette`s anticipated departure. Lyon`s management, currently appealing their administrative relegation to Ligue 2, were hoping to retain the midfielder and build the team around him.

However, Neom SC possesses the resources to potentially convince Tolisso to leave. Acquiring his services might cost around €10 million. Neom`s advantage lies not only in its financial capabilities but also in the presence of Tolisso`s close friend, Alexandre Lacazette, within their squad, which could be a significant factor in negotiations.
