Napoli continues to actively pursue Liverpool`s Darwin Nunez and has reportedly been in recent contact regarding the forward. However, other potential targets for the Serie A club include Lorenzo Lucca and Rasmus Hojlund.
Under coach Antonio Conte, who was persuaded to stay with the promise of new signings after their Scudetto victory, Napoli is focused on strengthening its squad.
Part of this reinforcement involves adding attackers to reduce dependence on Romelu Lukaku, with Nunez considered a prime candidate.
Acquiring the Uruguayan international would be expensive. Liverpool signed him from Benfica in the summer of 2022 for €85m.
Despite his contract running until June 2028, Nunez`s return of seven goals and seven assists in 47 appearances this season hasn`t fully justified his high transfer fee.
Saudi club Al-Hilal has also expressed interest in Nunez, but Napoli remains keen, offering the prospect of Champions League football and continued participation at Europe`s elite level.
Beyond Nunez, Napoli`s list of potential signings reportedly features Udinese forward Lorenzo Lucca and Manchester United`s Rasmus Hojlund, although Inter Milan is believed to have an edge for Hojlund.
