Napoli are reportedly nearing a deal with Sevilla for right-back Juanlu Sanchez. Sources in Spain suggest the transfer fee will be less than €20 million.
Discussions regarding the Spain U21 international, who played in this summer`s European Championship, have been ongoing.
Previously, the Neapolitan club was hesitant to meet Sevilla`s asking price of €18 million plus add-ons, aware that the player himself desired the transfer.
However, recent reports indicate the clubs are now closer to agreeing on a transfer fee in the range of €18-20 million, which includes performance-based bonuses.
This structure would reduce the initial fixed cost for Napoli by incorporating these add-ons.
If an agreement is reached soon, medical examinations could take place as early as next week.
Sanchez, who turns 22 in August, came through the Sevilla youth system. This past season, he contributed five goals and five assists in 35 competitive appearances for the Spanish club.
He has earned 12 caps for Spain`s U21 squad and possesses the versatility to play in a more attacking role on the right wing, a quality valued by coach Antonio Conte.
