Reports from various Italian outlets indicate that AC Milan and Napoli have reached a verbal agreement regarding the transfer of USMNT midfielder Yunus Musah. The player is reportedly on the verge of joining Napoli, who are the current Serie A champions managed by Antonio Conte.
The potential deal has progressed rapidly. Following initial reports on Tuesday morning that Napoli had commenced discussions for the versatile 22-year-old, the two clubs are now believed to be close to finalising an agreement.
According to sources including Sky Sport Italia, a verbal agreement is in place for a transfer fee of €25 million.
Should the transfer be completed at this fee, it would result in a capital gain for Milan. The Rossoneri signed Musah from Valencia in the summer of 2023 for a fee slightly exceeding €20 million.
Sky also suggests that Musah is being brought in as a replacement for Phillip Billing within the Napoli squad. Billing is expected to return to AFC Bournemouth upon the expiry of his loan spell.
In related news for Napoli, the club is also reportedly nearing the signing of six-time Premier League winner Kevin De Bruyne, with his medical evaluation anticipated for Thursday.
