Football transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano reports that Nigerian international forward Moses Simon, aged 29, has successfully passed his medical examination in anticipation of his transfer to Paris FC from Nantes. The newly promoted club is understood to have reached an agreement with Nantes, often referred to as `Les Canaris`, for a transfer fee reported to be around €7 million to secure the player`s services.
Following the successful medical, only administrative formalities are left before Simon can be officially announced as a new signing for the French capital`s club. The departure of the 29-year-old is expected to be a considerable blow for Nantes. Last season, he featured in 32 matches in Ligue 1, where he was directly involved in 18 goals, scoring 8 and assisting 10. These contributions accounted for a significant 46% of all goals scored by Nantes throughout the previous league campaign.
Paris FC`s Active Transfer Window
It appears set to be a busy summer for Paris FC, also known as `Les Bleus`, as they strategically strengthen their squad with the goal of establishing themselves as a consistent presence in France`s top football division. In addition to the impending acquisition of Simon, the Ligue 1 side is also reportedly engaged in discussions to sign defender Chancel Mbemba on a free transfer after his departure from Marseille.
