Monaco Sets Ambitious Targets for Upcoming Season

Football News

Having finished third in Ligue 1 last season and secured UEFA Champions League qualification for the second year in a row, AS Monaco`s CEO, Thiago Scuro, recently held a press conference to detail the club`s aims for the new campaign.

“We want to be back in second place in Ligue 1,” stated Scuro. “Olympique de Marseille did a better job in the league last season. We are looking for a safer way to secure Champions League qualification, as we took risks and dropped points previously. On the international stage, we performed well in our UCL campaign. Now, in our second consecutive European season, we expect to advance further than the play-offs. The general message internally is clear: reduce risk in the league while making progress in Europe.”

To assist in achieving these goals, Monaco has already strengthened their squad with notable signings, including Paul Pogba, Ansu Fati, and Eric Dier.
