AC Milan and Manchester City are reportedly holding a meeting today to discuss the potential transfer of midfielder Tijjani Reijnders. While a sale is considered possible, the Premier League club is keen to finalize a deal quickly.
The encounter, scheduled for this afternoon, allows the clubs to negotiate face-to-face regarding the Dutch player. It`s widely known that Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has specifically requested the midfielder to strengthen his squad next season, making City the frontrunners for his signature, ahead of competitors like Real Madrid and Barcelona.
Manchester City`s urgency stems from their desire to have Reijnders available for the Club World Cup in the USA starting in mid-June.

AC Milan, however, are under no pressure to sell quickly. Reijnders recently extended his contract until June 2030, giving Milan significant leverage in negotiations. Although the Rossoneri anticipate a potential sale might be inevitable, they will demand a substantial fee, reportedly a minimum of €70 million.
This potential transfer would represent a considerable profit for Milan, who signed Reijnders from AZ Alkmaar in 2023 for approximately €20.5 million plus add-ons.
This season, Reijnders has been a key player for Milan, contributing 15 goals and 5 assists across 54 appearances in all competitive games.
