Olympique de Marseille have reportedly received approaches regarding their captain, Leonardo Balerdi (26), from clubs across the Premier League, La Liga, Bundesliga, and Serie A. Despite this widespread interest, the Argentine defender is considered entirely unavailable for transfer, with Marseille reportedly refusing to sell, a stance already understood by clubs like Juventus and Roma.
Since the arrival of coach Roberto De Zerbi last summer, Balerdi has established himself as a crucial figure in the squad. De Zerbi`s initial actions included transferring the captain`s armband from Valentin Rongier to the centre-back. Balerdi has successfully embraced this leadership role, effectively serving as De Zerbi`s on-field representative.
Reports suggest that even a substantial offer of €40 million would fail to convince Marseille to part with Balerdi.
