Marseille Searches Eredivisie Market for New Winger

Football News

Olympique de Marseille is actively seeking a player to replace Luis Henrique (23), who is nearing a transfer to Inter Milan. According to reports from L`Équipe, the club is targeting the Dutch Eredivisie league in their search for a suitable winger.

The publication indicates that Marseille has identified three players from last season`s Eredivisie campaign who are on their shortlist to fill Henrique`s position. The first candidate mentioned is Igor Paixao (24) from Feyenoord. Paixao had an impressive season, scoring 16 goals and providing 10 assists in the league. However, securing a deal for him may prove difficult for OM, as the Brazilian winger recently extended his contract until 2029. Consequently, Feyenoord is reportedly demanding a substantial transfer fee, estimated to be around €30 million.

Noa Lang (25) is another player under consideration. He is reportedly keen to leave PSV Eindhoven this summer and could potentially be available for a lower price, possibly around €20 million, presenting a more economical alternative to Paixao. The third option is the experienced Croatian international, Ivan Perisic (36). Perisic`s contract with PSV is set to expire, although discussions regarding a possible renewal are ongoing. Marseille has also reportedly initiated contact with the player. At this time, all three potential signings remain possibilities, with Marseille yet to make any definitive moves or concrete offers for their targets.
