Olympique de Marseille have reportedly been presented with the opportunity to acquire Crystal Palace forward Jean-Philippe Mateta, aged 27.
Manager Roberto De Zerbi is understood to be keen on strengthening OM`s attacking options to prepare for their upcoming return to the Champions League next season.
However, current reports indicate that the 27-year-old striker`s financial terms may not fit within Marseille`s budget at this time.
During the most recent season, the French player was a key figure for Crystal Palace, appearing in 37 Premier League matches and scoring 14 goals.
Mateta joined Crystal Palace from Bundesliga club Mainz in 2022. Since then, he has made 116 appearances for the London side, netting a total of 36 goals.
He has also previously represented France at the youth international level.
