Olympique de Marseille is reportedly showing interest in acquiring the services of Sacha Boey, the 24-year-old defender currently at Bayern Munich, during the upcoming summer transfer window. The Ligue 1 club is hoping to finalize a deal for the Frenchman involving a loan agreement with an option to make the move permanent later.
However, while Marseille is seeking a temporary solution for the player`s acquisition, the German champions are understood to be open only to negotiations regarding a permanent transfer. As things stand, Boey himself is said to prefer remaining in Germany and competing for a spot in Vincent Kompany`s squad rather than departing. Despite this, it remains to be seen if a sufficiently attractive opportunity could persuade him to change his mind and move elsewhere.
Potential Competition from the Premier League
Marseille is apparently not the sole club expressing interest in the young defender. Several teams from the English Premier League are also reportedly evaluating a potential transfer for the Bayern full-back. Furthermore, Boey`s former club, Galatasaray, has also been mentioned in connection with a possible return for the ex-France youth international.
