Marcin Bulka Set to Join Neom SC, Sunderland Move Off

Football News

Sunderland is reportedly set to miss out on signing OGC Nice goalkeeper Marcin Bulka. The Black Cats were previously expected to complete the signing of the 25-year-old, but reports now indicate the move is unlikely to happen.

Bulka is anticipated to depart Nice this summer. Despite earlier hopes for a contract extension, discussions stalled last autumn and have not resumed. Eager to avoid losing him on a free transfer next year, Nice is open to a sale, particularly as coach Franck Haise recently stated the club needs to sell players to fund new signings.

Although a move to newly promoted Premier League side Sunderland was previously reported to be close, potentially for a €20m fee, and Sunderland still holds interest in the Polish international, it is understood he has now agreed terms to join Neom SC.

Neom SC, recently promoted to the Saudi Pro League, has been actively targeting players from the French football market. Recent acquisitions and targets include Saïd Benrahma, Alexandre Lacazette (expected soon), Corentin Tolisso, and Lucas Perri.
