Midfielder Rolando Mandragora is reportedly set to leave Fiorentina this summer. He is attracting notable interest from both Italian club Bologna and Spanish side Real Betis.
Mandragora`s current contract with Fiorentina is due to expire in June 2026. However, it includes a provision that could extend his stay if he plays in at least half of the team`s matches next season.
Having recently turned 28, Mandragora developed through the Genoa youth system. His career path before joining Fiorentina in 2022 included spells at Pescara, Juventus, Crotone, Udinese, and Torino.
Mandragora Attracts Suitors
According to transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio of Sky Sport Italia, Real Betis is among the interested clubs. A move to Spain would represent Mandragora`s first experience playing football outside of Italy.
Nevertheless, Bologna is widely considered the most likely destination for the midfielder. This is largely due to the prospect of reuniting with his former Fiorentina coach, Vincenzo Italiano.
It is understood that both the player and coach were keen to collaborate again last summer after Italiano took charge at Bologna`s Stadio Dall’Ara, but a transfer did not materialize at that time.
During the recently concluded season, Mandragora featured prominently for Fiorentina (the Viola). He made 43 appearances across all competitions, contributing nine goals and six assists.
