Connections appear to be developing between Olympique Lyonnais and the recently promoted Saudi Pro League club, Neom SC.
Neom SC previously acquired winger Saïd Benrahma, initially on loan in January and now permanently this summer. Additionally, Lyon`s captain Alexandre Lacazette, whose contract concludes this month, is reportedly close to joining Neom on a free transfer. According to L`Équipe, goalkeeper Lucas Perri could also make the move, though other clubs are interested.
L`Équipe also indicates that 30-year-old midfielder Corentin Tolisso is another player on Neom`s radar. Tolisso, a product of Lyon`s academy, was expected to take over the captaincy from Lacazette. Lyon`s management reportedly views him as a key player for their future, especially while the club awaits the outcome of its appeal against potential relegation to Ligue 2.
However, Neom SC possesses the financial capacity to potentially secure Tolisso, with a reported transfer fee around €10 million. Their appeal to Tolisso extends beyond finances, including the opportunity to rejoin his close friend, Alexandre Lacazette, at the club.
