AC Milan forward Luka Jovic is reportedly close to leaving the club for Mexican side Cruz Azul, signalling the impending end of his time in the Rossoneri colours.
According to recent reports from Mexican outlet Record (via CalcioMercato), Cruz Azul is confident it can overcome competition from European teams to sign the striker, whose contract expires at the end of June.
Sources indicate that Ivan Alonso, the sporting director of the Liga MX club, has been persistent in his efforts to acquire the 27-year-old, with the club prepared to make the former Real Madrid player a marquee signing.
