Luiz Felipe Set for Marseille Contract Termination

Football News

Marseille and defender Luiz Felipe, 28, are expected to mutually terminate his contract. The Brazilian joined the club in January on a free transfer but has made only four appearances.

Despite receiving praise for his attitude and personality at the club, this wasn`t sufficient for Marseille`s staff to see him as a long-term fixture, particularly with the club pursuing other defensive targets like Lens` Facundo Medina and having recently signed CJ Egan Riley from Burnley.

Felipe`s contract was originally set to expire in June 2026, but both parties have agreed to end it early, which will help the defender secure a move this summer. His likely next destination is understood to be Real Betis, where he previously had a successful period.
