Luis Henrique Secures Five-Year Inter Milan Switch from OM

Football News

Forward Luis Henrique, aged 23, has officially finalized his transfer from Olympique de Marseille to Inter Milan. The Brazilian player has committed to a five-year contract with the prominent Italian club.

Inter Milan had been working to secure a deal for the versatile attacker for several weeks, aiming to integrate him into the squad before the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup tournament. The club, which reached the final of the UEFA Champions League last season, has now successfully concluded the acquisition.

Henrique joins the Serie A powerhouse for a reported transfer fee of €23 million, potentially increasing with performance-related add-ons. Inter Milan officially confirmed the signing on Saturday. Despite facing initial challenges after his arrival at OM in 2020, his final season at the Stade Vélodrome proved to be his most impactful.

During his last campaign with Marseille, he was involved in 19 goals, netting nine times and providing ten assists across 35 appearances in all competitions. Meanwhile, Marseille are now actively searching for a player to fill the void left by Henrique. According to reports from L’Équipe, potential targets identified by the French club include Ivan Perisic, Noa Lang, and Igor Paixao.
