Hamburg’s promising young defender, Luka Vuskovic, 19, is reportedly drawing significant attention from top Premier League clubs, including Liverpool and Chelsea. Currently on loan from Tottenham, Vuskovic has been a standout performer for HSV this season, earning praise amidst their efforts to maintain their Bundesliga status.
Despite his stated desire to potentially play alongside his brother Mario, who is set to rejoin Hamburg after his doping ban concludes, the prospects of HSV retaining Luka appear slim.
Hamburg’s chances of retaining Vuskovic are diminishing:
A primary factor rests with his parent club, Tottenham, and their decision regarding his first-team future next season. However, Vuskovic is understood to be dissatisfied with the lack of faith shown by the North London club last summer, when he was sent out on loan instead of being given an opportunity.
Beyond Tottenham’s internal considerations, several continental giants are also in the mix. Barcelona’s interest in the Croatian talent has been previously reported. Now, Liverpool is reportedly considering Vuskovic as a potential option, particularly if defender Ibrahima Konate decides to depart upon his contract’s expiration. Chelsea also remains a keen admirer of the young talent.
