Lille rival Ipswich in race to sign Manchester City’s Divin Mubama

Football News

Lille OSC is planning to rebuild its forward line during the current transfer window. Jonathan David has already confirmed his upcoming departure from the club, while Chuba Akpom is expected to return to parent club Ajax once his loan agreement concludes. Additionally, Edon Zhegrova is also anticipated to leave.

Consequently, Lille might find themselves needing to sign two new strikers this summer. According to information from Fabrizio Romano, LOSC holds significant interest in 20-year-old Manchester City centre-forward Divin Mubama. The young England international moved to Manchester City from West Ham United last summer but has had limited opportunities for game time. Mubama has made just a single appearance in the Premier League, although he did feature from the start and scored in his only FA Cup outing.

However, Lille could face competition in their efforts to sign Mubama, whom his current club values at approximately £10 million. Recently relegated club Ipswich Town has reportedly also initiated contact with Manchester City to understand the potential terms for a transfer deal.
