Lens Targets Strasbourg Goalkeeper Robin Risser in Priority Search

Football News

RC Lens is reportedly making RC Strasbourg Alsace`s young goalkeeper, Robin Risser (20), their primary transfer target. The club is seeking a new first-choice keeper following the departure of Matthew Ryan (33).

Risser has attracted attention from several Ligue 1 sides, particularly after a successful loan spell in Ligue 2 with Red Star FC. The France youth international is believed to be at the top of Lens`s shortlist for the position, alongside at least one other player whose identity has not yet been revealed.

Lens had previously shown interest in Stade de Reims` number one goalkeeper, Yehvann Diouf (25). However, negotiations with Reims proved challenging, leading to the breakdown of talks. Diouf is now anticipated to move to OGC Nice, as an agreement between Nice and Reims has reportedly been reached.

Furthermore, `Les Sang et Or` (Lens`s nickname) also appear to be close to finalizing the signing of a backup goalkeeper. The club is said to be in discussions to bring in Régis Gurtner (38) from Amiens SC.
