RC Lens are reportedly planning their squad for the upcoming season, despite not yet having appointed a new manager following Will Still`s unexpected departure.

According to a report by Foot Mercato, Lens are showing interest in 25-year-old Saud Abdulhamid. Abdulhamid spent his entire career in Saudi Arabia until moving to AS Roma last summer, a move that also saw interest from Ligue 1 clubs Stade de Reims and Toulouse FC. His time in Rome has been marked by limited opportunities, with only eight appearances across all competitions. Despite this, he made history by becoming the first Saudi Arabian player to score in European competition, finding the net in a UEFA Europa League match against Braga.

Foot Mercato reports that Roma are considering loaning the player out this summer, specifically targeting a move to Ligue 1. Lens are said to be very keen on signing the full-back, as are Toulouse, who remain interested after pursuing him last season. The report adds that two other unnamed French clubs are also interested in Abdulhamid.
