Reports indicate that Leeds United is considering a move for Angers midfielder Himad Abdelli, 25. The Algerian international is reportedly a target for the newly promoted Premier League side as they seek to strengthen their midfield.
Previously, the Yorkshire club`s primary midfield target was Habib Diarra, 21, from Strasbourg. However, Diarra is reportedly on the verge of a club-record transfer to Sunderland. Consequently, Abdelli has emerged as the latest player linked with a potential switch to Elland Road this summer.
Abdelli played a key role in helping Angers secure their Ligue 1 status, contributing 6 goals and 1 assist in 32 top-flight appearances. Leeds will hope his impact can similarly aid their bid to remain in the Premier League. Italian club Torino and Turkish side Trabzonspor are also reportedly interested in the midfielder.
