Leeds United have reportedly made a €26 million bid to RC Strasbourg Alsace for their 21-year-old captain, Habib Diarra.
Sources indicate that Strasbourg`s stance on selling the midfielder has shifted since last summer. They are now open to offers for Diarra, who is under contract until 2028, provided a substantial bid is received.
Although Aston Villa and Stade Rennais were previously linked, Leeds appears to be the first club to initiate concrete discussions for the Senegalese international. Strasbourg is anticipated to assess market interest following Leeds` offer.
Leeds will return to the Premier League after winning the 2024/25 Championship, ending a two-year absence. Their previous promotion attempt the season before ended in defeat in the playoff final against Southampton FC.
